Cultivating Global competence among students is a real need of the hour.  It is not possible without practice in schools. Time has flown when people used to live their whole life at same place or region they are born in.

Now everyone wants to spread their wings and fly the world. Either for leasure or maybe work atmosphere in other countries attracts them. But the problem they face in settling over there is the language barrier. If we at schools will pay more attention in making our students multi-langual or bilingual, it will help young ones to fit perfectly anywhere on our globe in future.

Role a school can play in developing communication skills in students:

1. Regular practice of global languages in schools. It should be made compulsory for effective results.
2. Participation should be compulsory for vocabulary competition and group discussion to inculcate confidence.
3. Schools should organize inter culture exchange programmes with schools in other states and countries as well.
4. Tours & Excursions should be organized to give exposure to students.
5. Skype conversations can be organized with students abroad to make them confident in global languages.
6. Deligates can be invited for guest lectures or for interaction with students.
7. Youtube teaching channels can be introduced for live lessons to understand different facts in different ways.
8. Major emphasis should be put on reading, as it helps developing communication skills.
